We had a great day yesterday, we ate pizza and watched the "Groundhog Day" movie and just hung out, perfect!

They had a NaNo challenge yesterday for 11,111 words completed or to write for 11 hours. I was going for one or the other, whichever happened first, but failed miserably at both. Tomorrow I'm going to a write-a-thon that's in a town about two hours drive away. In a way, I think it's not so much a good thing, as I'm not worried about the words I'm ( Read more... )

I'm at 16,062 right now, and I'm avoiding new NaNo words, other than the 500 I've done already today. I'm still running avoidance for the middle, and have been working more on the beginning and the end. I'm hoping that the middle is sneaking in there, somehow. I'm close to 13,500 words at this point, and have hit the middle woes. However, I do know the ending, so figure that I'll write that over the next day or two and hopefully that will help with the disaster that is the middle.

I wrote about 1,440 words yesterday, and am pleased. We were gone almost all day and I still got up there pretty well, so you can't beat that. Today I'm hoping for more along the 3,000 to 4,000 range, which seems to work for me. (no, that's an Artistic Writer attitude. Okay, well, a little over 3,000 words for the first day. I've got a few good scenes and I like my characters and their situation. It bothers me that not one word of that is what happens when I'm flying, you know, that rush you get? but all are careful and measured and very, very cold.
